Born and raised in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Mr. Mpalang-a-Mpalang has built his reputation at the intersection of mining operations, international trade, and investment facilitation. Kevin Kaluwe MPALANG
Mr. Kevin Kaluwe Mpalang serves as the Chief Operations Officer (COO) of COMICORDIA, overseeing the company’s day-to-day operational performance and ensuring the seamless execution of its gold, diamond, and mineral trading activities across the Democratic Republic of Congo. Based at the company’s operational headquarters in Kinshasa, he plays a central role in maintaining COMICORDIA’s reputation for reliability, compliance, and professional excellence within the DRC’s dynamic mining ecosystem.
A second-generation leader within the organisation, Mr. Mpalang brings a modern, solutions-driven approach to operational management. His deep understanding of the regional mining landscape—combined with hands-on experience in logistics, field operations, supplier engagement, and export coordination—positions him as a pivotal figure in delivering COMICORDIA’s responsible sourcing commitments.
As COO, he is responsible for supervising field operations, liaising with licensed buying agents, coordinating mineral deliveries, and ensuring that every transaction meets COMICORDIA’s strict internal standards as well as national and international regulatory requirements. Kevin works closely with government agencies, mining cooperatives, financial partners, and international clients to maintain operational transparency and uphold the company’s high compliance benchmarks.

As CHRO, Mr. Kadima is responsible for designing and implementing the company’s human resources framework, including talent acquisition, leadership development, workforce planning, performance management, and organisational culture. He also directs the client fulfilment division, ensuring that operational teams across the DRC and international markets meet the company’s standards for professionalism, responsiveness, and compliance.

With a career spanning multiple regions across Africa and Europe, he brings deep expertise in corporate governance, strategic partnerships, and responsible mineral sourcing in complex regulatory environments.
As Chief Commercial Officer of COMICORDIA, Washington leads the organisation’s global commercial strategy, overseeing international buyer engagement, government liaison, regulatory compliance, risk management, and export operations. His role ensures that every commercial transaction adheres to the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and legal compliance under DRC law and relevant international frameworks.
Washington plays a central role in transforming COMICORDIA from a domestic mining cooperative into a globally recognised, professionally managed gold-production and export organisation. His focus is on building long-term, trust-based relationships with international refiners, financial institutions, regulatory bodies, and strategic buyers.
He holds extensive experience in the development of responsible supply-chain frameworks, KYC/AML compliance systems, and the operational integration of artisanal gold producers into formalised, ethically governed global value chains. His leadership supports COMICORDIA’s commitment to corporate responsibility, sustainable development, and world-class commercial excellence.
